Blue bombers have undermet expectations and a big part of that reason is due to injuries early in the season.
The Bombers lost two of their best defensive lineman in the offseason, and with end Celestin Haba and tackles Cam Lawson and Miles Fox currently injured, they haven't been able to get a push up front. The Lions passed for 398 yards and added another 107 yards on the ground in Winnipeg.
The Calgary Stampeders offense that has been impressive. Jake Maier leads the league in adjusted completion percentage (86.4%) and passing grade (93.2) according to Pro Football Focus. Although Maier tends to struggle under pressure, the Bombers are last in the CFL in pass rush win rate (30.9%) and have allowed the most completions of 30+ yards (7).
