NBA: Aaron Gordon (Nuggets) OVER 14.5 Points
What’s up #PropNation!! We are loaded with free play action tonight, dishing out 4 spots that I like. Things transparently haven’t been as hot as we normally expect and I’m working harder than ever to get back to optimal form. Time to dig in. For the first free prop tonight I go back to Aaron Gordon of the Nuggets to go OVER 14.5 Points. He easily should’ve cleared this number last game but went 5 of 13 from the field including multiple missed layups, tip-ins, and even a missed dunk. Gordon is benefitting big time from all the help defense Jokic and Murray attract. He can finish at the rim with the best of them and has been getting size mismatches on the Clippers front. The last reason I like this play is because Michael Porter Jr. is listed as a true questionable tonight. The Nuggets lack depth big time so if he is ruled out Gordon will almost certainly play 40+ minutes and get even more looks than he usually would. The analytics like him to go for 18+ points tonight as Denver battles in the road atmosphere in Game 3. Lock in Aaron Gordon OVER 14.5 Points!
NBA: Cade Cunningham (Pistons) UNDER 28.5 Points
The second prop I like is a fade spot for Cade Cunningham. Cade and his young Pistons squad are proving that they are not to be taken lightly this postseason, stealing Game 2 in The Garden. He dropped 33 points last game versus 21 in Game 1. Cunningham got to the line a ton, going 10 of 12 on free throws. He’s a stud no doubt and one of my favorite players, but you HAVE to think Coach Thibs is going to make some adjustments and force ANYONE else to beat them. He should force the ball out of Cunningham’s hands tonight and make Harris, Duren, Beasley, and company shoot in some tough spots. Cade’s assists might be a good look but ultimately it’s the 28.5 points line that is simply too high. If the Knicks stop hacking him this total should stay under. Take Cade Cunningham UNDER 28.5 Points for the second dub!
NBA: Mikal Bridges (Knicks) OVER 22 PRA (pts, rebs, assts)
Staying the course in the same Eastern Conference matchup I feel Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby are good looks tonight. In particular, I look for Bridges to fill the stat sheet in a game where New York NEEDS to find offense outside of Brunson. Don’t get me wrong, I love Brunson’s game and he’s a dog, but all they ran was ISO for him last game and it was purely ridiculous, totally ugly. The Knicks have to get into some offensive sets and run more motion. Bridges is a guy that benefits by slashing to the rim but also sits in the corner for open threes. He got up 18 shots in Game 2 and I expect more of the same tonight. In 4 games against the Pistons this season he averaged 26.8 PRA while his line tonight sits at 22. That is really good value as a buy low spot for a guy that should have a nice offensive role. Take Mikal Bridges OVER 22 PRA!
MLB: Byron Buxton (Twins) OVER 1.5 Hits, Runs, RBIs
Lastly, I can’t let you guys get out of here without some baseball info! As a bonus free play I am taking Byron Buxton of the Twins to go OVER 1.5 Hits, Runs, & RBIs. The Twins face the White Sox as a heavy favorite today (NOTE: early first pitch is 1:10pm EST). Buxton hasn’t quite lived up to the extreme hype surrounding him the last couple years but he’s still a 5-tool player. He started this season slow but I like him as he’s heating up. Buxton has 6 hits in his last 4 games including 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and 3 runs during that stretch. He’s likely hitting in the 2-spot today and should see 4 or 5 plate appearances which is plenty of opportunity against a bad White Sox pitching staff. Minnesota is projected to score 5+ runs today and I certainly think Buxton will be involved in some of the offensive production. Lots of ways for him to get us to the window. Take Byron Buxton OVER 1.5 Hits, Runs, RBIs and LET’S SWEEP!!! I LOVE THIS COMMUNITY!
