The Hawks backup big man plays about 24 minutes/game and averages 6.8 rebounds/game on the season. In an expectedly tight NBA Cup semifinals game I don’t see him racking up the rebounds. And analytics agree. They have him projected for 5-6 boards tonight. Okongwu just faced this Milwaukee team about a week ago and snagged 6 rebounds. Milwaukee does a really solid job at limiting opponent centers in the rebounding category. They rank 9th in the NBA giving up14 rebounds/game to centers and Clint Capela is projected to get 9-10 of those tonight. Dillon Brooks (Rockets) UNDER 18.5 PRA (pts, rebs, assts)
For the second free prop I want you guys to fade Dillon Brooks of the Rockets. He comes into this NBA Cup Semifinals game with a questionable tag due to illness but I expect him to play because he’s as tough as they come. He’s going to have the hard task of guarding Shai Gilgeous-Alexander which is going to be his main focus and tons of energy spent. For the Rockets to win he has to perform defensively. I don’t think Brooks is going to be efficient scoring the ball or racking up assists, and the PRA (pts, rebs, assts) line tells me the same story as they list him at O/U 18.5 PRA. This game is going to be a physical defensive battle just like the game against Golden State where we saw Brooks put up 14 PRA. I think the public will take the over because he’s played well against OKC in both games this season but this semifinals atmosphere is a different beast. NCAAB: Mark Sears (Alabama) OVER 19.5 Points
We switch things up on the third free prop and head over to the massive college hoops Saturday slate. I want you guys to take Mark Sears of Alabama to go OVER 19.5 Points. Sears and the Alabama Crimson Tide welcome the Creighton Blue Jays to Tuscaloosa tonight! No team is more battle tested than Alabama this season with the slate of big time non-conference games they’ve been through. Sears did not get off to the greatest start this season and is only averaging 16 points per game and shooting 28 percent from three. Both of these numbers are significantly lower than last year when he averaged 21 points and shot 44 percent from deep! Mark may have found something as he has gone over this number in 3 of the last 4 games. The Creighton Blue Jays also took a massive blow this week finding out that star guard Pop Isaacs is out for the season. Look for Sears to continue to roll and drop a big number tonight.
