Anthony Davis (Lakers) OVER 42.5 PRA (pts, rebs, assts)
Let’s jump in. For the first free play I want you guys to take Anthony Davis of the Lakers to go OVER 42.5 PRA, that is points, rebounds, and assists. AD is coming off his worst game of the year where he put up just 14 points on 6 of 19 shooting against the Nuggets. I love him in this bounceback spot as the Lakers take on the Suns. Davis has just dominated his matchup against Jusuf Nurkic in 2 games this season. He posted 47 PRA in both matchups and I expect him to have another big game tonight. It’s also not a back to back so the lineup got some rest. Look for Lebron to be in passing mode early to ensure his best player gets back on track. Davis averages 44 PRA on the season and he’s going to get at least his season average tonight. Lock in Anthony Davis OVER 42.5 PRA for the first winner!
Bilal Coulibaly (Wizards) UNDER 6.5 Rebounds
For free pick #2 I want you guys to take Bilal Coulibaly of the Wizards to have UNDER 6.5 rebounds. Coulibaly is having a really nice sophomore campaign, increasing his numbers in every major statistical category despite the Washington roster being a bit of a dumpster fire. They’re 2-13 on the season and I like fading their rebound numbers because their defense is so bad, which limits rebounding opportunities. Coulibaly averages 5.9 rebounds per game, well below this line and I suspect it could get juiced up or move throughout the day so lock this under in early. My analytics have him projected for 5.67 rebounds tonight which is a 12% advantage over the implied projection by oddsmakers. Combine this with the expected gameplan rebounding opportunities and I like the value play. Take Bilal Coulibaly UNDER 6.5 rebounds!
Bam Adebayo (Heat) OVER 0.5 Made 3-PT
For the third and final free pick we go to the Heat vs Bucks matchup. Take Bam Adebayo OVER 0.5 Made 3PT. This might sound like an interesting play at surface level as the Miami big man hasn’t historically been a 3-point shooter. In fact, historically he doesn’t even attempt 1 per game over his career. But things changed this offseason. Adebayo worked hard on his shot and it’s starting to pay off. He’s averaging 0.9 made threes/game on 2.7 attempts. And he’s really found the stroke as of late. Bam has made a three in 5 straight games, shooting 56% from three over this span. And he’s facing a Milwaukee team where his main matchup will be Brook Lopez who is their rim protector. He usually sags in the pick & roll game and struggles to get out to the perimeter. Look for Adebayo to get at least 3-4 looks from deep tonight and I love his odds of connecting on at least one.
