Matthew Stafford (Rams) UNDER 254.5 Passing Yards
We will start out in Monday night football. I want you guys to take Matt Stafford of the Rams to go UNDER 254.5 Passing Yards. This is a public fade spot for me and an opportunity to be sharp. Stafford has thrown the ball 78 times the last 2 games and put up 279 and 298 yards. But before that he was only averaging 232 yds/game through 6 games. Sean McVay loves to get the ground game working with Kyren Williams and I think Stafford controls the possession with the short passing game to Kupp and Nacua. Miami also ranks 6th in the NFL allowing just 183 passing yards/game. I like Stafford to be in the range of 200-230 yards thru the air tonight. Take Matt Stafford UNDER 254.5 Passing yards!
Evan Mobley (Cavaliers) OVER 29 PRA (pts, rebs, assts)
This should by all standards be a field day for Cleveland and the guy I’m backing statistically is Evan Mobley. He’s coming off maybe his best game of the year against Brooklyn where he put up 23 pts and 16 rebounds on 10/11 shooting. Mobley is averaging 18-8-3 on the season and tonight he should feast on his matchup. The bulls likely have to put Patrick Williams on him and Mobley is just too physical for a guy like Williams. Mobley is 6’11 and 215 and is playing lights out. Chicago doesn’t protect the paint well enough and you couple this with the fact that they are as fatigued as any team in the NBA. We have a winning recipe and Mobley liked this same matchup last season. In 2 games against Chicago he put up 19.5 PPG and 11RPG. Let’s hope Chicago keeps this one just close enough into the 2nd half for Mobley to get his minutes. Lock this one in - Take Evan Mobley over 29 PRA!
Nic Claxton (Nets) OVER 9.5 Points
I really want to take advantage of the Pelicans inability to protect the rim and lack of post presence in this game. Despite averaging 8.8 PPG, oddsmakers put Nets center Nic Claxton’s O/U line at 9.5 points. He’s scored 10 or more in 2 of his last 3 games and 3 of the last 5. Plus, the last 2 years he averaged 12.2 PPG. The Pelis are without Zion Williamson and are starting Yves Missi at center. Their front court is extremely weak this year since the departure of Jonas Valanciunas. It showed last game where the Magic dominated without Banchero or Wendell Carter. I think the nets backcourt of Schroder and Cam Thomas will be able to get Claxton a bunch of easy looks in the screen and roll game. Plus, he’s always good for an offensive rebound put back or two.
