MEMPHIS vs. WEST VIRGINIA (MEM -4.5, 58.5)

MEMPHIS TEAM TOTAL OVER 30.5

It's the Frisco Bowl and I'm surprised this line hasn't shot up higher. Memphis went 10-2 this season and beat a very good Tulane team in the regular season finale. West Virginia went 6-6, fired their head coach Neal Brown, and watched as many of their players hit the transfer portal. The Mountaineers will be down some starters tonight, but it really won't matter.

Memphis averaged close to 35 points per game this season. West Virginia's defense was absolutely horrendous this season. They are ranked 109th in the nation allowing 32.6 points per game. The Mountaineers pass defense leaves much to be desired. WVU allowed 265.5 yards per game, which ranks 120th out of 133 FBS teams.

Memphis QB Seth Henigan is the best quarterback you've never heard of. He has thrown for almost 14,000 yards in his career. This year, he threw for 3,208 yards and 23 touchdowns. Henigan will destroy West Virginia's defense. Memphis scored 33 or more points in 5 of their last 6 games. They'll do it again tonight.

MILWAUKEE vs. OKLAHOMA CITY (OKC -5.5, 215.5)

THUNDER OVER 109.5

It's the NBA Cup final. Sportsbooks expect a lower-scoring game. It makes sense as Oklahoma City has the NBA's best defense. Don't forget about the Thunder's offense though. OKC is a top-10 scoring offense, averaging 115.6 points per game. OKC has won five straight heading into tonight's game. The Thunder scored 111 or more points in all five games.

Milwaukee allows 111.9 points per game. They have given up 111 or more in 3 of their last 5 games. OKC has dominated the NBA Cup, winning games by an average of 11.6 points a game. I like the Thunder to hit their team total, something they have done in six straight games.

DEPAUL @ ST. JOHN'S (STJ -13.5, 150.5)

DEPAUL +13.5

This is the Big East opener for St. John's. DePaul lost to Providence in overtime last week in their conference opener. Both teams come into tonight at 8-2. St. John's plays fast and head coach Rick Pitino has the Red Storm headed in the right direction.

One could argue the same for DePaul head coach Chris Holtman. A Big East laughingstock for the past several years, DePaul is 8-2. The Blue Demons did play a soft schedule to start the season, but they are an elite 5-out offense and they can shoot the three. DePaul is 12th in the nation in 3-PT FG percentage, shooting over 40 percent from deep.

St. John's actually struggles with teams that drive and kick like DePaul. The Blue Demons are 6-3-1 ATS this season and 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games. DePaul has covered tonight's number in 9 of their last 10 games.
