The Reds won the first two games of this series, which came as no surprise. The Reds won yesterday as Hunter Greene struck out 8, cashing one of our two Quick Picks. Today, the Rockies will start Ryan Feltner and he happens to be Colorado's best pitching option right now.
Feltner has five starts under his belt and he's just 0-1, but he has a sub-4.00 ERA at 3.86 If you take out the one bad start he had against the Dodgers - 5 ER in 2.2 innings - Feltner's ERA drops to 2.34.
He has started two games at Coors Field so far this season. He gave up 1 ER in one and 2 ER in the other. Feltner will have a huge advantage over Reds starting pitcher Nick Lodolo who has never pitched at Coors Field before.
First-time pitchers at Coors Field typically struggle. Lodolo started the 2025 season very well and he still has a very respectable 2.79 ERA. But, he's given up 7 earned runs over his last two starts and, as mentioned, this will be his first time pitching at Coors Field.
The Rockies were swept in their last series by Kansas City. Only about 26 to 27 percent of MLB three-game series get swept. I like the Rockies to avoid the sweep today. You can get Colorado at a great price (+122) too.
