BALTIMORE @ NY YANKEES (NYY -160, 8.5)
YANKEES ML
Dean Kremer starts for the Orioles against a Yankees team that can clinch the AL East with a win tonight. Current Yankees have a .488 slugging percentage against Kremer. Aaron Judge has 3 home runs against him in 16 plate appearances.
Clarke Schmidt pitches for New York. He's 5-4 with a 2.37 ERA this season. He's pitched very well as of late and he's been successful in his career against the Orioles. In 10 appearances, 5 of which were starts, he has a 3.86 ERA.
Since Sept. 6, Baltimore is just 4-10. The Orioles have been held to 3 or fewer runs nine times in those 14 games. Anthony Santander is batting just .174 in those 14 games and Adley Rutschman is hitting .190 in his last six. The Yankees have been rolling with 12 wins in their past 16 games. They clinch the division tonight.
ST. LOUIS @ COLORADO (COL -122, 10.5)
UNDER 10.5
Ryan Feltner starts for Colorado against Michael McGreevy of St. Louis. Feltner has been red hot lately. The Rockies have won 5 of his last 6 starts and he has allowed 2 or fewer ER in 5 of his last 6.
McGreevy has just two appearances this season, one of which was a start. That start was a beauty though. McGreevy pitched 7 innings, gave up just 5 hits and 1 earned run in a win over Texas. He doesn't have any Coors Field experience, but he will be pitching against a Colorado lineup that is hitting .213 against RHP over the last two weeks.
The Cardinals are 25th in MLB in scoring. Ten of their last 13 games have gone Under the total. Interestingly, 10 of Feltner's last 13 starts have also gone Under the total and 4 of the last 6 games between these two teams have gone Under as well.
SAN FRANCISCO @ ARIZONA (ARI -135, 8.5)
DIAMONDBACKS ML
The Giants won Game 1 of this series 6-3 last night. Tonight, San Francisco will face Brandon Pfaadt who is coming off what might have been the best start of his career. It was a huge bounce back start against Milwaukee, a team he had just given up 8 ER to. Pfaadt pitched 7 innings, allowed 1 ER, and struck out a career-high 12 batters. The DBacks won 5-1.
Logan Webb starts for the Giants. He hasn't been in good form recently. Webb has an ERA north of 6.00 for the month of September. In four starts this month, he's allowed 29 base hits. That's a lot of baserunners and it's also why the Giants have lost 3 of his 4 September starts.
Arizona's Corbin Carroll, Jake McCarthy, and Gabriel Moreno are a combined 15-for-43 (.348) against Webb. I think the DBacks bounce back tonight behind Pfaadt. Remember, Arizona is 7-2 SU in their last nine games against the Giants at Chase Field.
