WASHINGTON @ NY METS (NYM -180, 8)

METS ML

The Mets are still hanging on to that third and final wild card spot in the National League. Tonight, Sean Manaea takes the mound and he gives the Mets a clear pitching advantage over Washington's Jake Irvin. Manaea is 11-5 with a 3.35 ERA this season. He's had a great second half. His strikeout numbers are up. He has at least 8 Ks in 4 of his last 5 starts. More importantly, the Mets have won his last six straight starts and 13 of his last 15.

Irvin actually pitched well his last time out, but in his previous two starts he gave up 13 ER. His season ERA is 4.19 and I think he pitches closer to that tonight. The Mets have won 8 of the last 10 games against Washington and Manaea will make it 9 of 11.

OAKLAND @ CHICAGO CUBS (CHC -190, 7.5)

CUBS F5 -0.5

The A's have been one of the weaker hitting teams against left-handed pitching over the last month. They rank 23rd in team OPS and ISO over that span. Tonight, they face a red-hot Shota Imanaga who is 13-3 with a 3.03 ERA this season. He's been razor sharp over his last four starts - 4-0 and a 2.67 ERA. More importantly, the Cubs have won all four games.

Imanaga is also one of the more profitable F5 pitchers in baseball. For the season, Imanaga is 15-6-5 on the F5 moneyline. If you don't mind the price, you can certainly play that tonight. I'll back Imanaga and the Cubs on the F5 run line.

ATLANTA @ PHILADELPHIA (PHI -5.5, 46)

OVER 46

Philadelphia is now 2-6 SU in its last eight games. One of the big reasons why is the Eagles defense. Even in their Week 1 win over Green Bay, Philly still gave up 29 points. It was the fifth straight game in which the Eagles allowed 25 or more points.

The Falcons didn't exactly tear it up in their Week 1 loss to Pittsburgh. The Falcons managed just 10 points, but it was against a pretty good Steelers defense. Atlanta has way too many weapons to just score 10 points per game. We all know Philly can score. They put up 32 points last week and left some on the table when they went just 3-for-6 in the red zone. I like the points tonight and for both offenses to push this total Over.
